Overview

At Webswing, we are committed to delivering robust and secure solutions for running legacy desktop Java applications in modern web environments. Our structured release cycle ensures that our users receive timely updates, security patches, and new features, aligning with industry best practices.

Release Cadence

We adhere to a biannual release schedule, introducing new versions twice a year. This approach aligns with the Java Support Roadmap, ensuring compatibility and leveraging the latest advancements in the Java ecosystem.

Long-Term Support (LTS)

Every 18 months, we designate a release as a Long-Term Support (LTS) version. LTS versions receive extended support, including security updates and critical bug fixes, for a minimum of three years. This provides our enterprise customers with a stable and reliable platform for their mission-critical applications.

Monthly Updates

To maintain the highest standards of security and performance, we release monthly updates for the most recent major version. These updates address security vulnerabilities, bug fixes, and minor enhancements, ensuring your applications remain secure and efficient.

Version Numbering

Starting from version 2.7, our versioning follows the pattern: YY.n.m:

  • YY: Last two digits of the release year.
  • n: Release number within the year (1 or 2).
  • m: Minor patch release number (1–5).

Example: Version 24.2.2 represents the second release of 2024 with the second minor patch.

Support Policy

We provide public updates and fixes for all major versions for six months post-release. LTS versions receive support for at least three years, with options for extended support plans to accommodate your organization's needs.

Enterprise Services

Our commitment extends beyond software delivery. We offer comprehensive enterprise services, including:

  • Integration Assistance: Seamless incorporation of Webswing into your existing infrastructure.
  • Cluster Deployment Support: Guidance on deploying Webswing in clustered environments for scalability and redundancy.
